Basic First Aid and CPR/AED

Adult CPR/AED, Choking: 2-3 Hours
Pediatric CPR/AED, Choking: 2-3 Hours
Adult/Child/Infant CPR/AED, Choking: 3 Hours

First Aid: 4 Hours

Combo-FA, CPR, and AED Adult only: 6 hours 

Combo- FA, CPR and AED Adult and Pediatric (Children & Infants): 7 hours

Includes:

 

   CPR/AED

  • Adult/Child/Infant CPR/AED skills

  • Choking Signs and Symptoms (Conscious to Unconscious Choking)

  • Choking Prevention for Infants/Small Children

  • Childproofing Strategies where applicable

  • Using an AED plus AED Scenario Drills 

  • Practice using Pocket Mask or Face Shield

  • Chain of Survival and Client’s Emergency Action Plan

   First Aid

  • SAMPLE/DOTS (Illness and Injury Patient Assessments)

  • Bleeding Control and Shock

  • Amputations, Impalements, Eviscerations

  • Injuries to Bones, Muscles, Spine, Head (Eyes/Nosebleeds/Teeth)

  • Seizures, Strokes, Heart Attacks, Asthma, Diabetes, Poisoning

  • Burns (Electrical, Thermal, Chemical)

  • Allergic Reactions/Anaphylaxis (Epi-Pen/Auvi-Q practice)

  • Environmental Emergencies: Heat and Cold (and Prevention Strategies), Beestings, Snakebites, Rabies, Spiders, Ticks, Marine Emergencies

    PEDIATRIC FIRST AID

  • Includes the above topics/skills, but concentrates on those illnesses/injuries commonly experienced by CHILDREN & INFANTS in families, childcare, church nurseries, sports activites, etc.
